Eligibility for Cover

  • The applicant must be domiciled in Singapore.
  • The applicant must be a Singapore Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid Employment Pass, Work Permit, Dependant Pass, or Long-Term Visit Pass.
  • The trip must not be for the purpose of seeking medical treatment.

Age Definition

Age means the age of the insured person on his/her next birthday on the start date of the period of insurance stated in the Certificate of Insurance and/or Policy.

An adult means a person who is 18 years old and above at the commencement of the trip. A male serving National Service or waiting for enlistment is construed as an adult.

Commencement of Coverage

  • All trips must start and end in Singapore.
  • Travel Insurance must be purchased before commencement of the trip from Singapore.
  • Coverage is available up to 16 days.
  • For each additional day: $15 for Basic, $18 for Deluxe, and $21 for Silver respectively.

Major Exclusions

  • Treatment undertaken for relief of chronic illness, for example renal dialysis, chemotherapy, or radiotherapy for cancer.
  • Immunizations, routine medical examinations, cosmetic surgery, elective treatments, and elective surgical procedures.
  • Loss resulting from horse-riding activities.
  • War, kindred risks, and government acts.
  • Nuclear, Chemical, and Biological Terrorism Exclusion. LSW 1176.

Claims processing time may vary depending on the complexity of the claim. It normally takes 2 to 4 weeks upon receipt of the signed discharge voucher from you.

Yes, provided the person is your next of kin or spouse. The signature must still be the claimant’s signature.

Please produce your EMA card at our partner hospitals. You will receive consultation with medication without any upfront payment.

Claims must be filed within 31 days of the expiry of the Period of Insurance stated in the Certificate of Insurance.

If your claim is denied due to insufficient documentation, you will need to provide the full documentation before the appeal.

Baggage, Travel Delay & Policy Questions

Yes, you may do so. Please remember to select the correct region coverage, as this is a common mistake made by pilgrims.

Yes, you can. If you have more than 2 insurance policies covering the same medical condition, both insurers will coordinate to share the bills, subject to any regulatory requirements if CPF-related medical insurance is involved.

Travel delay claim is computed based on the delay of the departure time of the scheduled flight, not the arrival time. You may claim if the delay meets the criteria and exceeds 6 hours.
